“Vent Fantôme”, French for Ghost Wind, is a step in a new direction for the one-man band NEIGE ET NOIRCEUR, as this is not a black metal album. NEIGE ET NOIRCEUR sound has evolved quite considerably over the years, and “Vent Fantôme” goes to a completely new level, featuring only two songs lasting 22 minutes each, the band has completely parted from the furious black metal of the early days. “Vent Fantôme” is an experimental, drone album, very close to certain psych folk in the vein of Barn Owl and Six Organs Of Admittance. A minimal, yet daring and evocative new take on darkness and winter, the marriage of black metal sensitivity and experimental drones. The perfect album to listen to while looking at the snow falling in a perennial dusk.
