“The Nocturnal Silence” is the debut studio album by the Swedish blackened death metal band Necrophobic, released in 1993. Regarded as a landmark release in the extreme metal scene, the album remains a classic example of the early ’90s Scandinavian blackened death metal sound.
Necrophobic formed in Stockholm in 1989 and quickly gained recognition for their intense and dark musical style, drawing influence from bands like Morbid Angel, Bathory, and Dissection. “The Nocturnal Silence” solidified their place in the underground metal community and helped establish the Swedish scene as a force to be reckoned with in extreme music.
